Taunton Wayfarers' Youth Group

The Taunton Wayfarers' Youth Group is for children aged between 8 and 16 years old. They do lots of activities based around the theatre. Such as theatrical games, improvisation, imagination, dance, singing and acting.

No audition is needed to join - just plenty of enthusiasm!

TWYGs runs every Saturday afternoon (term time only) 2pm-4pm.

TWYGs is organised by Sarah Whittaker and her helpers, who are all involved with the Wayfarers Pantomime Society and have taken part for many years both on and off stage in our annual productions. Sarah who was until 2007, our Principal Boy and played many parts including Peter Pan. Many of the helpers started life in the society as teenagers and know how much youngsters want to get involved.

In January 2009, some TWYGs members were really excited when they were asked to take part in our main production of Pinocchio. Have a look at the show pictures and see TWYGs members performing on stage here.

The cost to take part in TWYGs is £2 per session (payable half termly) plus £12 a year annual subscription.

TWYGS STARS WIN CINDERELLA AWARDS

TWYGs members received various awards at The Cinderella Awards Evening in Yeovil on
Sunday 15th May 2011 for their participation in Sleeping Beauty, which ran at the Brewhouse Theatre last January. The TWYGS members are:
