Saturday 17th October saw the spectacular return of Taunton Carnival, and of course, the Wayfarers Pantomime Society weren’t going to miss out on the fun!
Armed with our very own specially written song, a brilliantly choreographed dance routine (which we’d somehow managed to rehearse while WALKING!) and enough pantomime energy to light up Taunton, we took to the streets ready to entertain!
From Aladdin and Jasmine to pandas, a dragon, policemen and our fabulous chorus members, our colourful cast danced, waved and brought a little panto magic to the thousands of spectators lining the carnival route.
And clearly, all that singing, dancing and walking at the same time paid off…
🏆 WE WON FIRST PLACE IN THE GROUP WALKING CATEGORY! 🏆
OH YES WE DID! 🎉
We couldn’t be prouder of everyone who took part, helped behind the scenes and cheered us along the way. A huge thank you to the carnival organisers, judges and wonderful crowds who made the evening so special!
What a fantastic night for Wayfarers, and what a way to get everyone excited for ALADDIN in January 2027! 🧞♂️✨
Taunton Carnival, you’ve been absolutely magical! 💜💛
