It’s a while since the Wayfarers’ last pantomime, but there was the small matter of the bucket collection that had not been passed over to the nominated charity. The bucket collection is the proceeds of the post show donations made by the audiences, which are always very generous, and the Wayfarers donate to a local charity. Normally this would have been done at the Wayfarers’ AGM, but like so many this has been held up with the impact of Covid 19.

As it was not possible to have the charity come to a presentation, then the presentation would go to the charity! So it was that President Elect, Keith Smith, presented a cheque for £1000 to the Conquest Centre, near Norton Fitzwarren, which is Somerset’s leading charity dedicated to providing a range of equine activities for adults and children with a wide range of abilities.
