It was confirmed this week that the Wayfarers will be participating in this year’s Taunton Carnival on the 18th October 2014.
The Mendip Mule, an open top bus, has been secured for the cast, committee and supporters to ride through town. This will give the Society the opportunity to hop on and off and circulate with the public to hand out fliers about Beauty and the Beast.
The costume team, headed by Helen Coombes, have been tasked with getting as many of the principals in costume as possible, to help add real Panto feel to the evening.
There will be more details to follow, but the Society will also be performing at the Christmas Lights Switch On on Sunday 23rd November. Yes, you heard it, PERFORMING! Some of this year’s cast will be performing a couple of songs on the stage. This is great news for the Wayfarers and it is hoped as many members will be there to support and provide hands for distributing more fliers.
